He's written and illustrated numerous picture books and won a range of international awards.
He won the Young Africa Award for his Young Adult novel, Pig.

I would use this picture book to introduce Foundation Phase children to inferred meaning or reading between the lines. It's also a fantastic book to develop visual literacy because the pictures tell the story.
